At just over a half hour from Moncks Corner, Park Circle is a great day trip destination from Foxbank Plantation! If you haven’t explored this up-and-coming area of North Charleston, spend a Saturday tooling around this charming neighborhood. Bonus: it’s extremely pet- and child-friendly!
Start your day at Orange Spot, where they have delicious (and strong) coffee that will fuel you for the day ahead. They usually have guests chefs on weekend mornings making fresh, delicious breakfasts right in front of you! Yum!
Next, it’s time for shopping! Walk up and down Montague Avenue to visit darling boutiques like Park Pets, The Pink Crocodile and Itinerant Literate Bookstop. All the stores in downtown Park Circle are independent, boutique-style shops that have one-of-a-kind offerings that are sure to delight!
The hardest decision you’ll make today is where to eat for lunch. LoLa has some of the best Cajun food you’ll find in the area, YoBo is a taco dive that’s charming and delicious and EVO is a critically acclaimed pizza joint with creative menu options.
Work off your meal with axe throwing at the new Blade and Bull or visit one of the many parks around the area. We especially like watching swans at Quarterman Park. Barefoot Yoga is also a hidden gem of a studio that you have to walk up a staircase to find.
Take a break at Dig in the Park, where there is frequently live music and great beer specials. There’s also The Brew Cellar and Commonhouse Aleworks for an afternoon brew. If you’re feeling fancy, check out Stems & Skins, an upscale wine bar.
Once you’re worn out, place a takeout order from Park Pizza. Their pizza is out of this world and will probably still be warm by the time you get home!
