Nonprofits to Give Back to

‘Tis the season of giving, but we think it should also be the season of giving back. As Foxbank Plantation residents, we are so fortunate to live in a community that really cares about its neighbors.

Tricounty Family Ministries

Tricounty Family Ministries is “a non-denominational, nonprofit providing food, clothing, medical care, counseling, job placement, shelter, financial assistance and vital services to the impoverished.” They aim to offer a safe, compassionate and inviting place for all people in need. Volunteer or donate today!

Berkeley Citizens is “a non-profit human service organization that provides individuals with lifelong intellectual developmental disabilities the opportunity to develop and maintain a productive, self-fulfilling life.” You may have seen their cute ornaments around over the holidays!

The purpose of H.O.P.E. Acres Rescue is “to rescue, rehabilitate, and provide a safe haven for equines in need, to live out a healthy, happy, and peaceful life through public education, county and state alliances, adoptions, donations and caring volunteers.”

United Way

From digital literacy to clean water, United Way is a large organization with a broad reach. Make a local impact with their location on Main Street in Moncks Corner.

Habitat for Humanity

Habitat for Humanity makes it easy to get involved. Throw on your sweatshirt and grab a hammer if you want to volunteer, or make a unique donation through estate planning or their Cars for Homes program.

Helping Hands

Helping Hands of Goose Creek opened a food pantry in 1989 to distribute emergency food to families in crisis situations. Their services include a client’s choice food selection and client hands-on budget training program. They provide on-site computer training courses to help clients enhance their employment opportunities. Volunteer for food distribution and training or give donations.

Charleston Hope

Charleston Hope “enhances school culture and climate in high-poverty, Title 1 schools by building on the strengths of students, teachers and leaders.” Get involved with one of their three programs: Classroom Mentor, Step-IN! Or the special holiday Adopt a Classroom.
