Construction has begun on homes in the Lakeside neighborhood, which features 58 lots with lake exposure. “Even homes that are two rows off the lake will have visibility between houses thanks to a 22-foot elevation change across the property,” says developer Jeff Randolph. Eight lots have side orientation to Molly’s Park, providing direct access to the lake. Crescent Homes and Sabal Homes are offering homes in Lakeside.
A new pavilion adjacent to the playground and soccer field is complete and the main playground has been improved in preparation for a bigger and better facility. The Homeowners Association is making plans for a 5K run to raise money for a local charity and additional play equipment. Future additions include a kayak launch site and a dog park, both scheduled to be complete by spring 2016.
Fun fact: Molly’s Park is named for Molly the goat. “Molly was the former property owner’s pet,” says Randolph. “The park is the area where Molly’s fence and outdoor space was. She was part of the property.”
