Aspire Salon and Spa was a dream that has been a long-time coming.

Ever since co-owner and stylist Amanda Alexander realized her passion for hair more than 15 years ago, she knew that she wanted to own her own salon one day.

“I wanted to own my own place, but I wasn’t about to just dive in,” explained Amanda. “I wanted to be smart about it.”

For years, Amanda searched for the perfect place. She had passed by Foxbank Plantation on her way to work every day, but it wasn’t until about five years ago that she realized it was the place she had been looking for.

“Foxbank is such a great location between Moncks Corner, Goose Creek and Summerville, it seemed like the perfect fit,” said Amanda. “Plus, I have always liked to be a part of whatever is ‘up and coming.’”

Amanda and her husband Joel took the leap into business ownership about three years ago and haven’t looked back since.

“We love it here,” Amanda exclaimed. “It’s such a friendly atmosphere and the other business owners here are all very thoughtful, like-minded people.”

With Aspire Salon and Spa, Amanda strives to mimic the friendliness of the Foxbank Plantation neighborhood by creating an environment that is approachable, peaceful and affordable.  The Aspire team is all about serving people in the best way possible.

“We are trying to build relationships more than our wallets,” explained Amanda.

As Foxbank Plantation continues to grow, Amanda hopes to grow with it — but maybe not right away.

“We like the size we are now,” said Amanda. “We would love to grow within Foxbank down the road or maybe add a new location at some point.”
