How do you plan on ringing in the New Year in Charleston?
If you’re still not sure what your plans are, consider hopping in on one of these popular celebrations:
Ring in the New Year with Charleston’s largest annual New Year’s Eve celebration on one of the most celebrated historic attractions around. This exclusive party includes live music from a wide variety of bands and DJs from all genres imaginable, an all-inclusive full-service bar and light hors d’oeuvres.
Snyder Grand Ball
The Annual New Years Eve Grand Ball at the SC Aquarium will include live music from the David Higgins Band along with DJ Natty Heavy. This extravagant event includes an open bar, heavy hors d’oeuvres and a champagne toast at midnight. The event is black tie optional and proceeds from the event will go towards supporting the Alzheimer’s Association.
If the night scene really isn’t your scene, consider joining in on the festivities on Jan. 1 with this popular polar bear plunge on Folly Beach. Come wearing your favorite Bill Murray character attire and get ready to start your New Year with a big, chilly splash!
If none of these events sound appealing to you, there’s always the option of celebrating the New Year with your family and friends in Foxbank Plantation! Just make sure to be courteous to your neighbors and try not to be too loud or let the celebration go on too far past the stroke of midnight.
And most importantly, stay safe before, during and after the celebration by not drinking and driving. Call an Uber, have a designated sober driver or just plan on crashing where you are for the night. It’s not worth risking your life or the life of others on the road.
With that in mind, we wish you all a safe and happy 2018!
