Halloween is right around the corner! If you’re looking to host a Halloween party this year, then you’ve come to the right place. We have three different types of Halloween parties in mind that are a snap to pull together and we’re giving you all the inside scoop on how you can make your party truly spook-tacular!
We all have our favorite Halloween movies that we like to watch every year, so why not invite your favorite people over for a Halloween movie viewing party? You can base the theme of your décor and refreshments according to the movie you’ve selected.
So if you love watching Hocus Pocus on repeat, make your own “life potion” to serve your guests and make as many witchy treats as possible. If you’re more into It’s the Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown, then consider more of a fall harvest type theme and let your guests relax in their very own pumpkin patch — made of lots of orange pillows and blankets, of course!
Let your guests show off their creativity by hosting a costume party. Let everyone cast their votes for their favorite costumes and then at the end of the party, select your first, second and third place winners. You can also have additional prizes for “Funniest Costume,” “Best Group Costume,” or “Scariest Costume,” so more people feel included in the judging. To make things extra easy, you can have everyone bring one side dish and a dessert to share with the group.
The key to any good kid-friendly Halloween party is to make sure that you have tons of games to keep them occupied. You can even plan some Halloween crafts that the kids can do to take home with them. And while it’s important to have at least some sweet treats around for them to enjoy, you can also add in a few healthier options for a nice, nutritious balance.
Already planning your very own Halloween party? Be sure to take some snapshots and share them with us! We’d love to share your party ideas on our Facebook.
